The UB92 will be reviewed for accuracy under the OPPS identifying:

  • Bundled codes
  • Revenue assignments
  • Eligible pass-through payments
CMA will also monitor documentation within the medical record to identify any compliance issues and any patterns where improvements are needed.

At the conclusion of the review, a summary educational conference is held with Health Information Management coding staff and others designated by the hospital to discuss preliminary findings and/or patterns identified. CMA provides continuing education certificates for those attending the conference.
